Today we had the two classes had to split up and go to the
local Galilee branch at different times. We went after lunch at 2pm. Church was
on the east side of the Sea of Galilee, we show up to a large house that has
been fashioned into a nice little house-chapel. The best part was the view; the
house was on the hill overlooking the Sea. It was beautiful. We had sacrament
meeting with no other meetings. During sacrament meeting there was a huge lightning
and thunderstorm that came and went across the Sea. I love storms, especially this
one because it left a rainbow. Lizzy and I took care of Abbi, our Professors
cute little two year old girl; we were like parents watching our child. Dallin
finished the meeting with a good talk, he spoke of an investigator who called
saying he wanted to commit suicide when he was serving in Japan. They taught
him and he shared some tender moments as hope was restored to this Japanese guys
life. Our next destination was the River Jordan, it runs into the Sea of
Galilee in the north and we went to where it exits the sea in the south. There
was a baptismal site with Christ’s baptismal account written in every language
in the world on the walls in tile. Naturally I found the Hawaiian Pidgin one
(my friends who were here before from Hawaii told me to look for it, Asia and
Nick to give credit where credit is due). I read it out loud for some friends
here so they can get a feel for Pidgin. There was a huge muskrat that was
bigger than a cat swimming around then chilling on the steps. It was a good day
overall, very relaxing and spiritual.
