Galilee Trip: Nov 28

Today we went to Chorazin, Sepphoris, and Akko. I am grateful for all the field trips we are doing and the great places we visit. Sometimes they can be very tiring, but I always appreciate them.

Chorazin: This place was a Galilean town where Jesus taught and cursed. There is a synagogue here that has the 'seat of Moses' which is talked about it Matt 23. There were also huge rock beams that were used to build here, which made the scriptural reference to pluck the beam out of your eye more visual for me. We didn't spend too much time there, it was cool though.

Sepphoris: This place had sweet mosaics in a synagogue, a roman theatre, we checked out an ancient neighborhood-both poor section and rich sections. We went to a house called the Nile House because of a huge mosaic depicting the Nile River. It was just a Roman styled city with most of the workings of Roman Cities. It was sweet, I don't mean to downplay it with lack of detail.

Akko: This place acted as an important port during the Canaanite, Old Testament, Roman, New Testament, and Crusader eras. We checked out the Crusader fortress which was pretty sweet. We then had free time by the Mediterranean Sea, which was nice.

We ended the day with another bonfire at Ein Gev. We had smores and I sang some songs on the guitar to Professor Judd because he has wanted to hear me. I stayed up late at the bonfire talking to Sarah Townsen and Jed, then stayed up even longer outside my room talking with Jed, Andrew, and Will. Good times.
